Der war eigentlich für vor anderthalb Wochen gedacht, aber dann kam immer was dazwischen. Oder ich hatte kein Netz. Egal!

Sunday morning at five I was woken by a honking noise.
A loud, repetitive honking noise.
Now the house is in a rather quiet area - ordinarily you have the river down the hill, the wind, whatever birdsong the time of day calls for, occasionally the annoying peacocks of our uphill neighbours, and bees if it's dry.
And now, in the middle of the night, a honking noise right underneath the window.

So I drag myself out of bed and into my yukata and open the curtains.
Outside in the road:
A huge bloody honking swan. Yes, honking. Marching up and down the road and making loud "Fneeeerk!" noises in that bloody long white neck of his.

I figure Fëanor had an experience like this once, and that childhood trauma caused Losgar.

We will supposedly have phone and internet in the house by the end of the month. Until then, visits here remain irregular.

Great cartoon. I just recently thought about what I'd learned during the last year or so: the basics of Ancient Greek, the basics of Old English, fairly advanced CSS and html.

It never stops.
