Hard drive trouble is precisely what I need when trying to write a paper.

Especially when it starts just as I was scanning for viruses. Did I discover something that didn't want to be discovered there?

*whimpers*

(Yes, after several attempts I managed to restart the computer in safe mode, finished the virus scan, ran AdAware and Spybot and burned the ridiculous beginnings of my papers on CD; and after that, it even permitted me to re-start it normally; but still. And I have no idea how long it'll last. Ngah.)

I suggest buying a memory key... It was my lifesaver back when I had Precious and worried about losing stuff.
