行って来ます

Yesterday, the round of farewells began for good. I almost cried when saying goodbye to the Colognians and the kendô folks.

I am beginning to feel really, really, really nervous, mingled with occasional bursts of "Aaaah what was I thinking?!"
I am sure everything will be fine. It'll be a time to remember, an amazing experience, a great chance, etc etc.

But right now? I am suddenly clinging to home like I never did. I will miss Jörg, I will miss the kittens, I will miss the house. I'll probably even miss the annoying family Christmas gathering.

I'll be fine. I was not quite so nervous when I left for Canada, but I was younger then and extremely frustrated with school, and I was afraid even then; it's normal to be nervous. At some point, the fear is going to be overcome by excitement, and all will be well.

Still...

... well, I'm off.

Will try to update as soon as possible. Remember, everything except for fannish rambling and stuff not necessarily fit for parental eyes is likely going to nakatsukuni.

Oh yeah, I know the feeling. You'll feel terribly stupid afterwards, but I'm sure you already know that. ;) Just try to enjoy everything about your journey. It'll be unforgettable, that's for sure. And, you know, after the first hour on the plane you'll feel so much better. Wheeeee, the excitement!
