Weird mood

I saw "Solaris" tonight. Who. WEIRD movie. And rather slow. But cool.
One thought stuck - I can only paraphrase, 'cause even I can't learn movies by heart at the first viewing ;) -
"There are no solutions here. There are only alternatives."
Isn't it true. I hardly know anytime where I didn't wonder after a decision whether it was the best solution or whether, after all, another way might have been better. And often enough, I do wish to be in that parallel universe where I made the "right" decision. Where the solution does not bring more problems with it.
If there is such a thing, that is.
As a solution, not as a parallel universe. I quite believe in those, if only because it's fascinating. And because, of course, the "The Golden Compass" was the first fantasy book I enjoyed reading *g*
So if there is such a thing as a perfect solution, or such a thing as perfection. Certainly not with living things. After all, perfect originally merely meant "brought to an end". Hmmmm. And as long as there's life, there's no end. Maybe even after life, there's no end, who knows. Anyway, there's no perfection - especially not for someone like me, who still firmly believes that the way is the destination. (I know I don't always act like this, but I do try.) I should add that I also believe that reality is not a fact. It's our idea of reality that makes it reality. So even "normal" events surprise me. If there were such a thing as normality.

Help. It's past midnight, and I'm drifting into this weird mood...
I should sleep. And sort out my thoughts a bit, maybe.
*sigh*
