Seen today:
A black skater shirt, for boys of approximately 10 or 12 or so.
Cool flame patterns on the sleeves and... cool text on the chest.
The cool text read as follows:
"ORDER MY DREAM SWEET LOVE 68! VERY GOOD"

Instant Japan feeling!

I do wonder what the designer of that t-shirt was thinking, though. I mean, what is this supposed to mean? If it was 69 instead of 68, I suppose it would make a vague kind of sense. Even though I'd find it disconcerting if kids of, like, 11 ran around promoting "SWEET LOVE 69!"
Then again, this is the 21st century of the fruitbat.

I just saw the commercial for the Whee Wii Fit balance board thingy. For the first time, I saw it on German tv.
I was all confused why they weren't saying "Wii Fitto" anymore. That thing will forever be the "Wii Fitto" in my brain.

I had a similar experience last week, when I was on the train, and the train was pulling into the station, and the conductor said, "Please get off on the left-hand side." Except not in English.
And I was all Huh? WTF? Why is he speaking German?
Before I went, Because this is Germany, stoopid. Why should he be saying "O-deguchi wa hidarikawa desu"?

Sometimes I can hardly imagine I've actually been there, and then sometimes it seems parts of my brain haven't come back home...

Which reminds me I still haven't posted any of my Kyôto pictures. >_>

Was hab ich heute Wunderbares entdeckt?
Ein schwarzes Skatershirt, so für Zehn- oder Zwölfjährige oder so.
Coole Flammenmuster auf den Ärmeln und... cooler Text auf der Brust.
Dieser Text lautete:
"ORDER MY DREAM SWEET LOVE 68! VERY GOOD"

Instantanes Japan-Feeling!

Man fragt sich ja doch, was der Designer sich dabei gedacht hat. Ich mein, was soll das heißen? Wenn's 69 statt 68 wäre, könnte man sich ja vielleicht noch vage einen Sinn zusammenbauen. Auch wenn ich es leicht beunruhigend fände, wenn so ein elfjähriger Pups herumrennen und "SWEET LOVE 69!" propagieren würde.
Andererseits sind wir ja schließlich im 21. Jahrhundert der Fruchtfledermaus.

Gerade hab ich erstmals im deutschen Fernsehen den Werbespot für dieses Wii Fit Balanceboard Gerümselüm gesehen.
Ich hab mich erst voll gewundert, warum es nicht mehr "Wii Fitto" heißt. In meinem Hirn wird es auf ewig das "Wii Fitto" sein.

Sowas hatte ich letzte Woche auch schon. Ich war im Zug, nicht ganz im Vollbesitz meiner geistigen Kräfte, und der Zug kam in den Bahnhof, und der Zugbegleiter sagte, "Ausstieg in Fahrtrichtung links".
Und ich war erstmal total überrascht, so von wegen "Wieso spricht der Deutsch?"
Und dann, "Ja du doof, was sollte er denn sonst sagen?" Ich hab so sehr mit dem "O-deguchi wa hidarikawa desu" gerechnet...

Manchmal bin ich überhaupt nicht mehr sicher, ob ich wirklich je da war, aber manchmal scheint mein Hirn im Gegenteil noch gar nicht richtig zurückzusein...

Was mich daran erinnert, dass ich IMMER noch die ganzen Kyôto-Bilder nicht gepostet habe. >_>

True, except lolcats occasionally make more sense than Engrish ;)

(Also, whenever someone says lolcats, I have to think of Taht wuz gud king, srsly (http://aesc.livejournal.com/319802.html), and then I start giggling and get odd looks. Thanks.)

EGAD!!! I didn't know that one.....I am SO going to use that in my Old English class this term. AND my class on word-formation, because I have, indeed, mentioned lolcats already.....
