Dear Brain,

The polite French for "please" is s'il vous plaît, NOT onegaishimasu.
WTF, srsly.

Yours in bemusement,
Moi

... so does this mean my French is getting so rusty it's down to the level of my Japanese, or does it mean that my Japanese is getting good enough to reach the level of my French?
The mind boggles.

I used to get switched like mad between French and Mandarin. My senior year of college, I had Chinese classes at 10:00 a.m. and French ones at 11:00. By the time I went to lunch at noon I couldn't speak much of anything clearly, haha.

It was the syllables "de" and "le" that did me in, because they sound roughly the same in both languages. I'd start in French, hit "de," and finish in Chinese, or vice versa. Confused the hell out of everyone, hehe.
