Fannish/ fanartistic rambling: the non-Tolkienists among you can safely ignore.

After fileg put up a link to a very pretty fanartsy project I was reminded of my Tengwar karuta project at long last. So I dug out the cards I'd already finished, and stowed away after Ring*Con last year, thinking something along the lines of "Well, I don't have time to finish the rest, and half of them are crap anyway."
Which is true. But if half of them are crap, that still means the other half is all right, and while the execution, as always, is faulty, the idea in itself was good. (Yes, I am praising my own idea! Hah!) Actually more than half of them are all right, and among those that are crappy half are so because I had to choose absurd scenes because the bloody Tengwar have absurd names, so I can blame the crappiness on Fëanor Tolkien Fëanor Tolkien Fë... some obsessed linguist. And considering the tiny space on which I tried working (which is my own fault, admittedly) I suppose the pictures aren't too bad either way.
And, and, but, but.
So I suppose I should do the missing cards, and scan it, just so I'll have done it.

Why do I always get these bouts of motivation when I really, really, really have more important things and not enough time as it is? >_>
