It's still weird...
Apr. 4th, 2011 07:23 pmToday, the chimney sweeper dropped by. To clean our chimney after winter. When he rang the bell, I looked at his young face (I think he's about my brother's age, i.e., a little younger than I am) and thought "Ah, here's the apprentice, the master sweep's probably getting something from the car..."
But no. The second person who was still getting something from the car was even younger - that was the apprentice, and I was already talking to the master sweep.
And I thought, "Crap. We're the grown-ups now."
Which, naturally, should not surprise me. I mean, I'm going to be a mom in a couple of months. So I better be grown up! And the rest of my generation as well. We've been of age for a decade or longer!
But I have obviously not yet internalised that fact. ^^
