I've seen this one go around; now I've been tagged by rahja. Ok, why not, it's been a while!

The Rules:

1. People who have been tagged must write the answers on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new, original question.
For a given value of "original", I hope.

2. Tag six people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.
Yeah, this is the one I'm replacing with "No need for tagging. Whoever wants to can play along."



01. Make a list of 5 things you can see without getting up.
Are you kidding? I'm in the living/dining room. I can see so many things that picking just 5 is bloody hard.
How about
- an empty teapot
- today's newspaper
- the laundry basket
- a cradle
- my tablet-weaving loom

02. How do you style your hair?
As quick and easy as possible. Either in a wrapped bun or as a long braid, unless something really special is going on.

03. What are you wearing now?
Purple Threadless shirt, purple pullover, maternity bluejeans, warm woolen socks of many colours.

04. What's your occupation?
Yeah, rub it in. :P None just now.

05. What are you hearing right now?
Annoying commercials in between a documentary about a captain who fishes old spaceship parts out of the sea. To everyone's amusement, his name is, of all things, Kirk.

06. What's your favorite guilty pleasure treat?
Depends. Chocolate; mini-pastries with ragout fin; occasionally, single malt whisky. The rest isn't guilty.

07. Are you hungry?
No, for I just had peasoup. That I made myself. On a whim, I added some peppermint and lemon balm. IT WAS AWESOME. :D

08. What things do you like to smell?
Pfff. Many things. Walnut leaves, rosemary, apples, beeswax, honey, wet earth, freshly baked bread, good food in general, lightning... we can do this forever.

09. Dog person or cat person?
Definitely cats! It's not that I hate dogs (except for the tiny aggressive kind) or am afraid of them (even though I was chased in circles by a boxer when I was five or so, and bitten by a German shepherd when I was eighteen) - I'm quite fond of well-behaved, big dogs - but I just like cats better.

10. What song is currently stuck in your head?
"Suddenly, Seymour" from Little Shop of Horrors. Don't ask me why, I have no idea!

11. What was the last thing you bought?
Groceries. You want a list?
Yeah, all my answers are so incredibly interesting. This is why I do not like tagging.

12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Assuming that I didn't have to go right now but sometime later: Hokkaidô or Nova Scotia.

13. Where do you see yourself in 5 minutes 5 years?
Still living in this house which will then be a lot closer to completion, with 2-3 children and a reasonably nice job either at some school or some museum not too far away.

14. Last book you read?
Teacher Man by Frank McCourt

15. What are you doing this weekend?
Probably the usual: some gardening, some sorting stuff, some low-key house stuff.

16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?
Harp, lute or fiddle

17. How are you?
Pretty good

Waiting for baby! Not long now. You want two or three kids? You are ambitious. I could have had three myself if I had been more fertile.

Well, of course we have to keep in mind that I'm saying this now - let's see how I feel after actually getting some child-rearing experience - but we really don't want an only child, and right now I could well imagine having more than two kids, too. We'll see how that turns out! (One of my aunts has five sons, and a somewhat more distant aunt actually has seven kids, so from that point of view, two or three doesn't look all that ambitious after all. ;))
