with loue to toune, etc.

Including pics I've been meaning to post in February. And in April. Which is why it's a somewhat massive picspam. On the plus side, it nicely shows the development between then and now.

As per always, clicky on the thumbnail will lead to a larger version. Also as per always, feel free to ignore my commentaries underneath, most aren't particularly interesting anyway. Unless you're desperate to know what those plants are called.
People who are afraid of bees or other critters may not want to click on the thumbnails where the captions mention bees (or butterflies, or whatever). If you click anyway, that's your own responsibility. We should all be grown-ups here, I believe.

Baby lamb ^^
OMG a shoot! Hello shoot!
Was it ever that cold this year?
Snowdrops!
Winter moon
More lamb
Crocus...ses? Whatever. [[Crocus]plural].

Behold! One tree, two different kinds of flowers! MAGIC*!
That lamb again
Dancing with the daffodils
Pansies!
Magnolia
... and the whole bush (before it really exploded in blossom)
Wild plum blossoms
Redcurrant blossoms
Pink 'n' fluffy!

Tulip
Adorable little fern fronds
Hellebore fruit
I love how many weird names this plant has in English – Livelong, Frog's stomach, Harping Johnny, Midsummer men, Witch's moneybags... In Germany it's just called Fetthenne - "fat hen". At least that's kinda weird, too...
Bees! bees! I have bees again!
Wood sorrel
The standard valley view, of course
Random meadow
More tulips
Adorable fronds, now mostly uncurled
Never saw our tiny clematis bloom like that, either
Pasqueflower
Obligatory cornflower + bee
Aquilegia! ♥
Comfrey + bumblebee
Lupins (… + bumblebee)
Look what became of the little blossoms...
Iceland poppy
Bird's eye speedwell
Rhododendron
Medlar blossoms
The hives after some necessary changes²
Pretty iris
Small tortoiseshell
Buggery! >:D
Mixed bag

*Or, more to the point, bad horticulture. But "magic" just sounds better.
²I really should blog more about the bees; lacking, however, the necessary vocabulary in English, if I ever get around to doing it at all, it'll be in German. Sorry.

And that's roughly the current state of things. The next garden picspam will already be summer-themed. Hurrah?

The Buggery pic xDD I want to make an icon with "unf unf" on it. And mygosh, that's the prettiest lamb I've ever seen.

For me, the most amusing thing about the Buggery pic is that I saw those ladybirds at it... and thought "Oh well, by the time I've gotten the camera, they'll probably have stopped and gone away, but I might as well try." Then I returned with the camera and they were still cheerfully at work. So I took the picture and brought the camera back inside. Went back outside - still busy. Half an hour later - still busy. Impressive stamina for such small animals XD

Isn't it? I love those adorable white spots ^^

That multicoloured lamb is the most adorable thing I have ever seen! (Well, today at least.)

Buggery! XD Haha!

And bees! Did they come back on their own or did you buy new ones?

I grow childishly excited whenever I see it, too, despite seeing it every other day ^^

I know, it's such a lousy pun but I couldn't resist XD

I got new ones for free, actually! Which is a long story with a couple of curses in it - as I said, I really should blog more about the bees, if only to get that story told. *shifty eyes*

But you wouldn't recognize the good puns if there were no lousy ones for comparison!

I certainly wouldn't mind a bee post. :P

Oh, and there you answered the question. I really should read comments before posting. Sorry.

I apologize if you posted about it and I missed it, but I'm curious... do you have bees again, or did the previous hive(s) survive the winter?
