Christmas mail on its way

Yesterday, I finally completed the Christmas mail and took it to the post office. So those of you who live further away will probably get it after Christmas. I'm sorry.
(I really have no clue why it takes me so long to start writing Christmas mail. Part of it is that I always want to be original but can't think of an original way of saying "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" but that's OK, isn't it?)

Interestingly, at our rural post office, Post Office Guy wasn't at all shocked that I'm sending out mail into the whole world. Back in Big City, I would get an offended "Why are you sending so many letters to America and everything?" every. Single. Year. Here, Post Office Guy just asked "All within Germany?" when I put my heap of letters on the desk. "Um, no, it's a bit more complicated..." - "No problem, we'll sort it out". Mind you, Post Office Guy comes from India so that may explain why he's more relaxed about international post. :P

Anyway, your letters are on their way. I hope they'll at least arrive this year!

schaut mich deine Katze böse an?
Ich wollt nicht jammern oder genervt klingen. Ich bin fröhlich, weil ich Zeit für alle diese Dinge habe. Ok. Ich muss immer noch priorisieren, ob lieber Karten schreiben oder Stricken oder Internet surfen oder Kekse backen will. Aber ich kann Dinge für die Seele tun. Und wenn ich mich nicht grad vor lauter Freizeit total überfordert fühle, geht's mir grad richtig gut :)

Nein, die Katze guckt nur forschend.

Ich wollte doch auch nicht so klingen, als müsstest du unbedingt Karten schreiben (zu welchem Anlass auch immer). Ist doch schön, dass du Kekse backen, Geschenke einpacken und Baum schmücken kannst. Die Steuererklärung dürfte ja leider auch nötig sein. Karten schreiben ist ja eher so ein Schokostreusel, den man dann machen kann, wenn man wirklich viel Rumsitzzeit hat, in der man sich nicht nutzlos fühlen will. Das ist ja nicht gerade dein Problem. ;)
