Well, it has been a Week.

Not necessarily a bad Week, but a very full Week.
I feel like I should be be talking about the fantasy convention at the local castle, or the trip to the local Kirmes (fun fair), Julian's first week in Kindergarten, or the other trip to the Kirmes.
But the Week is not yet over, and another momentous event is rearing its head.

So yeah. No time to talk. House to clean, dinner to make, anxieties to soothe, Schultüte to fill...
We'll see how that goes!

Date: 2017-08-30 05:35 pm (UTC)I remember how much I loved my own Schultüte. I wasn't spoiled for sweets, quite the opposite, and cool stationary also wasn't something I was familiar with. So finding not only things I needed for school (Pelikan Wasserfarben! LOL ) but also a surprising lot of sweets and stuff like animal-shaped erasers and pencil sharpeners was the perfect cherry on top of the most exciting event for me, as I'd been totally eager to _finally_ become an adult. *rofl*

I mean, some people had crafty ones (like the one we made) and some had ready-made, store-bought ones, but I presume the themes were all chosen by the kids (Felix wanted a steam train) so everyone had their own favourite design. They didn't unpack their Schultüten in class so nobody knows what the others had in theirs, so, no cause for jealousy.

I miss having a local castle, even one as plebian as Plesseburg.
