Divine Annoyments

Gah. Finally finished Tulkas and Nessa, who were still missing for that Valar project from ages ago. They did turn out to be a pain in the ass, I can tell ya.
Ah well. At least now I have stuff enough to make my start into Elfwood convincingly, at least quantity-wise. If my brother's scanner stops playing tricks on me, that is. Because so far, I have only half of the Magnificent Fourteen scanned.

Gah. Ich habe endlich auch Tulkas und Nessa fertiggemacht, die beiden haben die Vervollständigung meiner antiken Valar-Sammlung lang genug gebremst. Und was haben sie es mir schwer gemacht.
Naja. Jedenfalls habe ich jetzt genug, um einigermaßen überzeugend bei Elfwood einzusteigen, zumindest, was die Masse angeht. Zumindest, wenn der Scanner meines Bruders aufhört, mich zu verarschen. Denn bisher habe ich nur die Hälfte der Glorreichen Vierzehn eingescannt.

Ah! A Valar project! melikes very much :) I always love to see other people's drawings/paintings of the Valar.

They're all so pretty. As someone mentioned above that they look too much like greek gods... hmmmm... I don't know. They don't look greek to me. I can see the influence of other versions [especially in ulmo ;)] but they're all really great.

I especially love the design-thingy at the back of each vala. Beautiful!

I've been wanting to do my own Valar project for years now... meh... someday... :\

*g* Looking at them again, I'm almost ashamed... I really screwed some of them up badly. Not that I can do much better by now, but at least a bit. There's a big difference between those up to Mandos and those up from Vaire (or at least I think there is, but it may of course be only my imagination, because I know I made a months-long break between them), and Tulkas and Nessa again haven't turned out great, because my motivation evaporated as soon as it came to background. So I don't really think I did them justice. *sigh*
Ah well, it's finished, either way. And I'm glad you like them!
