A storm is pretty when, while you're at a warehouse sale at a publishing company in the crowded stairway of an old building - high ceilings, white walls, grand archway - suddenly a column of leaves rises up right in front of said archway and then is suddenly blown all across the book-searching people.

A storm is not so pretty when, on your way home, you've just reached Schlebusch when the entire train service in all of Northrhine-Westphalia is cancelled. Schlebusch is about the most ass-end train station on my way home, and the fugliest.
Luckily, they didn't cancel the buses, so two and a half hours later I actually got home after an idyllic trip through the beautiful storm-tossed Bergisches Land through towns with such charming names as Unterberg ("underhill"), Hasenmühle ("bunny mill") or Bauermannskulle ("farmer's hollow").
Problem is, that scenic tour ended in Solingen centre. This would be good if my car wasn't left at the main station in Ohligs. *wibbles* I hope it's safe on the railway parking place. I suppose it wouldn't be any safer in our street, but at least here I'd notice when something dropped onto its roof... >.<

Now the boyfriend has to get home safely. *wibbles*
