*snickers* I dunno. Must come from being isolated on a bunch of islands which have come into being by the mating of siblings and which are inhabited by myriads of gods that only exist because some other gods washed themselves. (Honestly. Susanoo, one of the most important deities of Japanese mythology, came into being because Izanagi cleaned his NOSE. You can imagine how the rest of them was created.) The German word would be Inselkoller...
