Equinox

I mentioned that Autumn and Spring are my favorite seasons? The changing, the imbalanced, the stormy, rainy, moody, not-yet-warm not-yet-cold ones? Budding trees or falling leaves, blossoms or ripe fruit?
I am not for settled things; my heart is with the ever-changing.

Today, day and night are balanced; from tomorrow on, the nights will be longer. Of course, that belongs to Autumn as well, yet I must admit that I don't love the long darkness too much. It makes me go gloomy or long for chocolate. That is why I couldn't live up in Finland or Sweden, much as they fascinate me.
But I love the bright leaves, the wind; I like crisp air (in the right places, mark you: the house must be warm) and even the rain, unless it lasts too long (yes, I am human; I always find a loophole, a condition).
I like the season's celebrations and the season's connotations. I like baked apples, onion pie and pumpkin soup. I like collecting chestnuts and hazel-nuts and the most colourful leaves.

A happy autumnal Equinox to you all; and a happy Mabon to those who celebrate it.
