Phew. The term paper thing is saved. I got the topic I wanted (Innateness Hypothesis) and he gave me lots of literature and I copied it and now I have 2 1/2 weeks to write that thing.
After the meeting with Prof. Phillips, I spent hours walking through Cologne getting Christmas presents together. I had to browse three bookshops until I finally found the book I wanted to give to my godchild. Because my mother has organized presents for her and her sister, but that's the kind of kitschy plastic dolls
I already hated when I was 6 and my grandmother bought them for me, so there's no way I'm giving Sabrina that kind of shit. Instead, I got her
Roverandom. Because you can never begin early enough to influence children in their choice of literature. *cough* Rebecca will get crayons, which is boring but still so much better than these ugly dolls.
And you know what happens when you let me run around through bookstores that just don't have the book I'm searching for? I buy Tolkien parodies, that's what happens. Evil little hardcover books named
The Sellamillion.
Anyway, now I have presents for:
My mom, my dad, Jörg, my brother,
kaneda,
eliathanis,
seefuchs,
rahja,
nefantoiel,
ladylalaith, Yutani, Timo, Jesko, Betty, Karin I, Karin II, my grandmother, Hannelore and Sabrina.
People for whom I have ideas but haven't yet realized them:
My grandfather,
elfy,
eruannath, Cele, Alessio, Ricardo and Rebecca.
People for whom I have no idea at all:
Lorenzo.
[ETA: More people for whom I have no idea and of whom I have not thought until now:
malicedl,
shiverdl, Felipe, Milli.] *smacks self*
Well, could be worse.
Am already so groggy and tired that I wonder how I'll survive Kendô tonight.
Christmas cards will be posted tomorrow, so I'm afraid most of you won't get them on time anymore. I'm terribly sorry about that.
