Oh what an exit
Apr. 11th, 2005 03:25 pmIt just took me three fucking hours to get back home.
Three hours. Because of a "accident involving humans".
Because someone decided to kill himself by casting himself in front of a train.
And his remains ended up scattered across BOTH tracks in Leichlingen. (Ironically, the name of the place, Leichlingen, sort of contains the German word for corpse, Leiche.)
Which was why train traffic had to be stopped to clean everything up.
I know it's sad in essence, but right now I'm just annoyed. If you want to commit suicide, can you please pick a way that does NOT inconvenience quite so many people? (Besides, the remains of someone scattered over two railway tracks are not a pretty sight, not even on an empty stomach.)
And to the German Railway service: Why the fuck can't you open the long-distance track for the regional trains? ESPECIALLY when the only regional long-distance train that would use that track at that time is CANCELLED ANYWAY? Instead of having the regional trains wait and then go back? And if I hadn't finally caught the long-distance train an hour later, I'd be stuck in Opladen again.
Three fucking hours. On a full bladder, and with the washrooms "shut down".
ARGH.
So not amused. Sorry, dead guy, but fuck you.
