The day after

- well, at least now we could show the world how good losers behave by not boycotting pizza, not behaving like a certain team from South America, and not stopping to celebrate. Will it work? Aside from BILD newspaper headlines, which will doubtlessly call for an invasion of Italy or some other idiocy?

*sighs* As a disciple of Japanese studies, I am familiar with the concept that failing in glory is actually better than winning. Let's try that.

Whoever thought building lecture halls without windows ("distracting") or air-conditioning ("superfluous considering the Colognian climate") was a good, nay, trendsetting idea ought to be trussed up in some fur coats and left in one of those lecture halls for twenty-four hours on one of these lovely 35°C days. ARGH.

Because if the lecture hall is so hot and devoid of oxygen at 9 am already that you can't stand to stay there without the door open - for as long as the lecturer will permit, because of course the hallways are noisy - something is definitely wrong.

We have, apparently, one lonely Frenchman in Solingen, who is now driving around honking (the Portuguese community is fairly close by, which is probably where he's actually driving around - or not, if he values his life)...

And since Germany didn't make it there, I can now unashamedly root for France. Yay!
