I don't believe this. A discussion about one person has split a group of people who until then seemed to be the best friends. So much that some of them already talk about stopping all contact with the others forever. And that just because some people simply dared to state their opinion.
I'm still surprised how incredibly childish grown-ups (including me) can be. Instead of using Friday's party to discuss the whole thing through, the discussion takes place over the internet. Of course, the party wouldn't be a party. But it might still be a good idea? But instead, some people make a "counter party" (and even call it that - Ilúvatar gracious!)
Fuck.
And since I like them all and understand both positions in the argument, I'm hanging in the vacuum between the two parties and am frustrated.

And desillusioned.

Das darf doch nicht wahr sein. Da hat die Diskussion über eine Einzelperson gereicht, um eine ganze Gruppe von Leuten zu spalten, die sich vorher prima verstanden haben. So sehr, dass die ersten schon davon reden, den Kontakt mit allen und für immer abzubrechen. Und das nur, weil ein paar Leute einfach ihre Meinung gesagt haben.
Es überrascht mich immer noch, wie fürchterlich kindisch Erwachsene (ich inklusive) sein können. Anstatt dass man das Treffen am Freitag nutzt, das sachlich auszudiskutieren, wird das ganze im Internet ausgetragen. Klar, die Party wäre keine Party. Aber vielleicht wäre es trotzdem eine ganz gute Idee? Stattdessen veranstalten die ersten Leute eine "Gegenparty" (und nennen es auch noch so - grundgütiger Ilúvatar!).
Fuck.
Und da ich die Leute alle gern habe und in dem Streit auch beide Positionen nachvollziehen konnte, sitze ich zwischen den Stühlen und bin frustriert.

Und desillusioniert.
