I meant to take a picture of Darcy as he sat on the wall, but he heard me and walked into the camera.
Eigentlich wollte ich Darcy beim Lauern knipsen, aber er hat mich gehört und ist in die Kamera gelaufen.


The youngest sheep on the meadow across the road. It's still learning what's good to eat and what isn't.
Das jüngste Schaf auf der Weide nebenan. Es weiß noch nicht so ganz, was essbar ist und was nicht.

Since work was so frustrating, we went for a little walk down into the valley.
Weil die Arbeit so frustrierend war, haben wir einen Kurzspaziergang runter ins Tal gemacht.


We saw a kingfisher and a jaybird, but I didn't manage to catch either on film.
Wir haben einen Eisvogel und einen Eichelhäher gesehen, aber sie waren weg, eh ich sie photographieren konnte.

Suppertime! It's kind of like Geschnetzeltes, but with sage and sundried tomatoes.
Abendessen! So ähnlich wie Geschnetzeltes, aber mit Salbei und sonnengetrockneten Tomaten.


You can't really see it, but that dark blob on the roof is our uphill neighbours' peacock.
Man kann's nicht wirklich erkennen, aber dieser komische Klumpen auf dem Dach ist der Pfau unserer bergaufen Nachbarn.


It's half past ten and all's well it's still not quite dark!
Halb elf und alles ist in Ordnung es ist immer noch nicht ganz dunkel!

I think I've already told you how much I envy you for living in a place where you have access to those beautiful landscapes and walks... just beautiful!! And the blue in the last picture is just breathtaking <33

You have some beautiful scenery. I especially love the second to last one. Is your neighbours' peacock white, like the Malfoys? Actually, do you have a peacock?

*laughs* Nope, the peacock is blue. (I have some pictures of him walking along the roof in daylight, but I'm keeping those for the end-of-month picspam. ;)) One of the females is partly white though. ;) We don't have any peafowl - the noise from our neighbours' is quite enough!

Well, they have several sheep (some prehistoric breed that looks more like goats than sheep, with unfluffy fur that currently hangs down their backs in long felted tresses because they're rubbing against trees all the time), and this one is the youngest (four weeks or so). It'll lose that rank fairly soon, though, because one of the older ewes is still pregnant.

Es juckt mich gerade ganz gewaltig in den Fingern, einfach mal im Simulator überall ganz wild draufzudrücken... andererseits würde das sicher selbst da eine Kernschmelze auslösen, wo gar kein Reaktor steht. Ich kenn mich doch. >_>

Und man kann den lauten Vogel erkennen, wenn man gesagt bekommt, dass er da sitzt - schöne Fotos, die von gestern auch. :)

Bei den meisten Knöpfen passiert erst mal gar nix, da muss man schon die richtigen Kombinationen kennen ;)
