... and wonder where it has disappeared: The author suddenly got cold feet and wanted me to delete the entry. So I turned it invisible. Maybe he'll change his mind. Or it'll stay invisible. At any rate, that's what happened!

My son wrote a short story in English and asked if the people who read my stories would also comment on his story. I said they probably would, and he asked me to share it, but about ten minutes later he suddenly got terrified of strangers reading his story and disliking it, so he panicked and asked me to take it down again. So that's what happened. ^^

To be fair, I'm much the same at my age - just better at keeping myself from deleting. And more addicted to comments. XD

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this! I read it but got side-tracked before commenting, and then the entry was gone. I really enjoyed the story, it was a lovely read with great ideas, and well told. I particularly liked the rat village (or town?) and the underground idea.

I'll tell him if he changes his mind about wanting other people to read his story! Right now, he doesn't even want his grandmother to look at it. Poor fellow! The self-doubts of an aspiring writer!

The author (my son) first wanted to have comments on a story he wrote, but then he panicked and asked me to pull it. The mortifying ordeal of being known! If he changes his mind, I'll put it back up. :)
